In brief: Peru’s inflation falls

*Peru’s central bank has released new figures which show that monthly inflation in June was -0.15%, bringing the year-on-year rate to 6.46% - the lowest annual figure since February 2022. The June figure compares with monthly inflation of 0.32% in May when the year-on-year rate was 7.89%. According to the report, the main factor driving down inflation was a reduction in food prices; the monthly rate of inflation not including food and energy was 0.14%.
