* Honduras’s central bank (BCH) has released new figures which show that monthly inflation in June was 0.39%, bringing the year-on-year rate to 5.60%. While the monthly figure is up from 0.07% in May, the annual rate is down from 6.58% in May. According to the BCH, the June annual rate is the lowest for the past 18 months. It attributes the slowdown to a “moderation in the growth pace of food prices, mainly grains and perishable goods, lower average prices of fuel and electricity tariffs” and “stability of prices in other areas”.
