DOMINICAN REPUBLIC | High growth. The Dominican economy ministry released a report on 26 June cutting the real GDP growth forecast for 2023 for the third month in a row. The report, based on a survey of growth expectations among economists by the central bank, predicted that the economy would still grow by 4% this year but had been affected by a slowdown in the first four months of the year. According to the monthly economic activity index (Imae), the economy expanded by just 0.3% year-on-year in April, bringing accumulated GDP growth for the first four months of the year to 1.2%.
