ARGENTINA | Trade deficit. Argentina posted a trade deficit of US$1.15bn in May, according to figures released by the national statistics institute (Indec). This compared unfavourably with the trade surplus of US$368m recorded in the same month in 2022, a result of the impact on agricultural exports of the severe drought that has afflicted the country.
