* Bolivia’s national statistics institute (INE) has announced that the country registered a trade surplus of US$71m in April. Exports totalled US$988m, up from US$976m in March, while imports totalled US$917m, down from US$1.08bn. The INE highlighted increased exports of soya and its derivatives to Peru as a key cause of the increase in exports, while the decline in imports was attributed to lower imports of fuels and industrial inputs.
