* Honduras’s Foreign Minister Eduardo Enrique Reina has announced that President Xiomara Castro’s government is preparing to launch negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA) with China. Reina’s announcement came after Honduras formally established ties with China and severed relations with Taiwan in late March. Reina said that negotiations will begin “soon” and said that negotiations would at first centre around key Honduran exports such as coffee, shrimp, tobacco, and beef.
