* Colombia’s national federation of coffee producers (FNC) has announced that coffee production increased by 10% year-on-year in February, when total production reached 1.02m sacks (1 sack = 60kg). The FNC noted that harvest volume is beginning to show recovery after the prolonged La Niña weather phenomenon. However, the 11.2m sacks of coffee produced in the 12 months to February was still down by 8% year-on-year, while production in the current coffee year (October 2022-February 2023) was down 9% year-on-year at 4.8m sacks. Meanwhile, coffee exports in February were down 6% year-on-year to total 928,000 sacks, while exports over the past 12 months were down 8% at 11.2m sacks.
