ECUADOR: Latest corruption allegations claim ministerial scalp

On 14 February Ecuador’s agriculture minister, Bernardo Manzano, resigned after his name appeared in a leaked police report implicating him in corruption and revealing links between him and Rubén Cherres, a family friend of President Guillermo Lasso who is wanted for alleged corruption and who the same report revealed has been investigated in relation to alleged drug trafficking offences.
