* Brazil’s Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural, e Biocombustíveis (ANP), the federal oil and gas regulator, has announced that the production of both oil and natural gas reached record levels in 2022. Oil production was up 2.47% on the previous record reached in 2020, averaging 3.02m bpd. Natural gas production averaged 138m cubic metres per day, exceeding the previous record set in 2021 by 2.98%. In monthly terms however both oil and natural gas production fell in December, but rose year-on-year. Oil production averaged 3.07m barrels per day (bpd), down 0.7% on November, but up by 8.3% on December 2021. Natural gas production in December averaged at 140.14m cubic metres per day, down 0.2% on November but up 6% year-on-year.
