*** OECS TO PRIORITISE REGIONAL TRANSPORT. Leaders of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) met in Montserrat on 19 October. The meeting was hosted by Premier Joseph Farrell who highlighted that the lack of an integrated regional transport system, particularly since the collapse of Caribbean airline LIAT, was hampering the movement of people and goods within the OECS. He told the assembled leaders: “We as a region must therefore work together and with other interest groups to find a lasting solution to reliable transportation.”
