Roberto Veiga, general manager in Brazil of China’s Goldwind firm, has been cited by the local and international media as saying that the company is in advanced negotiations to install a wind turbine manufacturing plant in Brazil. He reportedly made his comments at an industry event where he was cited by news agency
Reuters as saying that the exact location of the new factory is not yet defined but Goldwind is negotiating with the governments of three states in Brazil’s northeast region – Ceará, Pernambuco, and Bahia. He was also cited as saying that Goldwind’s new factory may begin operations in 2024 and may also export equipment to other countries in South America.
