In a continent-sized country, foreign affairs do not often figure prominently in the daily news. So it was all the more intriguing when President Jair Bolsonaro appeared in the first campaign interview on television network TV Globo with the words Argentina, Colombia, and Nicaragua written in blue ink on the palm of his hand. He never really got to explain the importance of each during the debate but he did on several other occasions before and after.
