* The US, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Panama have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance the US-Alliance for Development in Democracy (ADD) consultative dialogue on supply chains and economic growth. Under the memorandum, participant countries will work together to strengthen supply chain resilience, with a view to sharing best practices and results with the entire region.  Leaders also met with the US Chamber of Commerce to finalise the development of the US Chamber Survey on Supply Chain Resiliency, which will identify key opportunities, challenges, and areas for collaboration. According to the US State Department, the MoU is part of efforts to deepen economic cooperation and help generate economic growth in the region. The three countries are founding members of the ADD, which launched in September 2021 to promote democratic strengthening and economic growth through the tightening of the countries’ commercial, demographic, and cultural ties. The US has also announced the recent adhesion of Ecuador to the ADD.
