* Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer has announced that it has reached several agreements with Australian companies for delivery of electric vertical take-off and landing aircrafts (eVTOL), colloquially known as flying cars. Embraer subsidiary Eve has closed two partnerships with Australian firms, one with helicopter company Microflite for 40 eVTOLs and another with Aviair and Helispirit, air tour companies focused on tourism services in Western Australia, for 50 eVTOLs. Delivery is planned for 2026 in both cases. Embraer is the world’s third largest aircraft manufacturer and has entered the urban air mobility (UAM) market with its new subsidiary Eve, which has reportedly closed 17 partnerships so far for a total delivery of 1,735 aircraft.
