Supporters of Nafta are asking their opponents to answer the following question: how can Mexico possibly have lost 1.3m agricultural jobs since Nafta came into force in 1994, as the anti-Nafta lobby claims, when Mexico's agricultural exports have doubled and, more crucially, its higher-value added agribusiness exports have tripled?
