PRD dithers about backing PAN

The leftwing Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) is dithering about whether to go into alliance with the rightwing Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) in this year's crucial gubernatorial election in Chihuahua. The PRD is a marginal but growing force in the state and the race is between Javier Corral, a PAN senator, and the candidate from the Partido Revolucionario Institucional, José Reyes Baeza Terrazas.
