Sahagún takes some heat

Marta Sahagún, wife of President Vicente Fox and a possible presidential candidate for the rightwing Partido Acción Nacional in 2006, came under pressure at the end of January. The most piercing attack took the form of an article in the Financial Times on 31 January, which examined what her charity, Vamos México, was up to. Not very much and not very clearly was the FT's verdict. On top of this Sahagún has come under heavy attack from ambitious politicians in the PAN.
