* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has announced that the country’s GDP increased by 13.2% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021. When compared to the preceding quarter, Q3 GDP was up 5.7% in seasonally adjusted terms. Dane noted that the strong year-on-year growth was driven by the retail, vehicle repair, transport, storage, and hospitality sectors, which combined grew by 33.8% compared to Q3 2020. Manufacturing industries were up 18.8%, and Dane also reported 8.0% combined growth across the public administration, defence, social security, education, healthcare, and social services sectors. Dane’s figures show that Colombia’s GDP has grown by 10.30% in the year to date.
