Cristiana Chamorro Barrios, the daughter of former president Violeta Chamorro (1990-1997), has become the latest presidential contender to sign up to a six-point agreement inked by four other leading opposition figures. The agreement commits to an electoral alliance which would field one presidential candidate in the 7 November general election in which President Daniel Ortega is seeking a further term for the Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional (FSLN).
