PERU | Sendero attacks on two fronts. Three separate attacks by Sendero Luminoso (SL) guerrillas in the second half of November left  a toll of seven police officers killed and two soldiers and five police officers injured. Two of the attacks were carried out by fighters of the Comando Regional Principal, that operates in and around the Apurí­mac-Ene valley; the third, by a group from the Comité del Huallaga, that operates in the Upper Huallaga region under the command of 'Camarada Artemio'.
