Bolivia: Bolivia’s President Evo Morales has met with China’s President Xi Jinping in Beijing as part of an official visit in which they will discuss bilateral cooperation. Bolivia’s foreign minister, Fernando Huanacuni, stated that Bolivia is interested in exporting products such as soya, coffee, almond, and meat to China, while it hopes for increased cooperation in the areas of technology and science. Morales’ visit to China, which began on 18 June, will last until 20 June and his agenda includes meetings with the president of China’s national congress and authorities from the China Development Bank. President Morales was last in China in 2013, having previously visited in 2011 and in 2006 (as president-elect).
