Nicaragua: Labour Minister Alba Luz Torres has announced a 10.4% increase to the minimum wage. This increase will be applied on a semi-annual basis, the first increase of 5.2% in effect from 1 March and the second from 1 September. The head of the private sector lobby Cosep, José Adán Aguerri, had proposed an increase of at least 8.25%.
