Uruguay: Uruguay XXI, the official investment and exports promotion agency, reported that the value of the country's automotive exports increased to US$112.3m in 2017, up 75% from US$64m in 2016. During that time, sales to Uruguay’s principle export market, Brazil, rose by 79% to US$96.7m, up from US$54m, reflecting Brazil’s economic recovery. There has also been increased demand for Uruguayan automotive exports to Argentina, which have more than doubled over the last two years to US$11.2m in 2017, up from US$4.9m in 2015.
