Uruguay: In August, Uruguay’s unemployment rate stood at 7.8%, up 0.2 percentage points from July (7.6%), according to newly released figures from the national statistics institute (INE). The unemployment rate for August was 0.1 percentage points higher than that posted in the same month in 2016 (7.7%).
