* Federal police have arrested 21 people for inflating the value of a contract to build Mané Garrincha stadium in Brasília (Distrito Federal), one of 12 constructed for the 2014 Fifa World Cup. Two former governors for Distrito Federal were among those arrested including José Roberto Arruda (2007-2010) and Angelo Queiroz (2011-2015). The corruption investigation is based on plea bargaining testimonies from former executives at construction company Andrade Gutierrez.
