Inter-city fast train continues to face snags

The first batch of the Spanish-made railway carriage fleet that will service the Mexico City-Toluca intercity fast train arrived in Mexico this month. This is marks a significant milestone in the development of the project, one of the government’s most ambitious public transport projects, which is slated to be fully operational in the second half of 2018. However, obstacles to the project continue to arise, raising questions over whether the project can be completed on schedule.
