Calls in Guatemala for Morales to be stripped of immunity

Development: On 12 June, Guatemala’s attorney general’s office (AG) submitted a request to the supreme court of justice (CSJ) for President Jimmy Morales to be stripped of his immunity in order that he be investigated for his alleged responsibility in the deaths of 41 girls killed in the March 2017 blaze at the ‘Hogar Seguro Virgen de la Asunción’ children’s centre.
