In brief: Uruguay, Argentina

Uruguay: The national statistics institute (INE) reports that the 12-month rolling inflation reached 6.46% in April, the lowest it has been in six years. INE noted that the result came after the consumer price index (IPC) increased by just 0.22% month-on-month in April, significantly lower than market expectations and driven by lower-than-expected increases in food prices. The April inflation figures bring the accumulated inflation so far this year to 4.04%.
