“The most important education revolution in almost a century.” This is how Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto has described the new national education model 2018-2019, that he formally unveiled on 13 March. The model, the instrument by which the Peña Nieto government intends to implement its 2012-2013 education reform, is designed to guarantee equal access to education for all Mexican children, so that the country is well-placed to face all the challenges of the 21st century.
