BOLIVIA: Morales targets familiar enemy

The government of President Evo Morales has renewed its offensive against the political and business elite based in the opposition region of Santa Cruz, with fresh evidence pertaining to last year's alleged presidential assassination plot. Those implicated, which include the recently re-elected governor, Rubén Costas, link the revived threat of legal action to Morales's defeat in Santa Cruz in the regional and municipal elections on 4 April.
