One person was killed and 61 injured after an attack perpetrated by the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc) in the municipality of Pradera in the south-western department of Valle del Cauca. The attack took place just after the Farc’s one-month unilateral ceasefire ended on 15 January. Since then, the security forces have struck the Farc hard in three separate attacks in the department of Arauca, on the border with Venezuela, and the southern and central departments of Tolima and Meta respectively, in which 26 guerrillas were killed and 18 captured.End of preview - This article contains approximately 687 words.
