More of Peña Nieto’s security strategy comes to light

In a series of announcements by President Enrique Peña Nieto, interior minister Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, and the budget directorate of the Interior ministry (Segob), some of the missing pieces in the new government’s public security strategy came to light in February — particularly the funding of the expanded interior ministry and how the new gendarmerie will be established.
