Development: On 17 October the head of Mexico’s attorney general's office (PGR) specialised organised crime investigation unit (Siedo), José Cuitláhuac Salinas, revealed that seven government officials, including three from the PGR, have been arrested on suspicion of being part of a corruption network working for the Sinaloa drug trafficking organisation (DTO).
