NICARAGUA: Stirrings of dissent

President Daniel Ortega has recently faced disgruntlement from both former and current members of his Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional (FSLN). While unlikely to cause the President to lose much sleep given the iron grip he wields over the FSLN, any suggestion of dissent from what is one of the most disciplined political parties in the region, is noteworthy: any political threat to the President is likely to come from within rather than from the ineffectual opposition, which remains in disarray.
