BRAZIL | Inflation breaches target range again. The national statistics institute (Ibge) reported on 9 October that the monthly inflation rate for September stood at 0.82%, while annual inflation rose to 4.58%. Inflation has risen sharply compared with August, when a monthly deflation rate of 0.32% was registered and annual inflation stood at 4.22%. The 4.58% annual rate for September is above the upper limit of the official target range, which is 3.0% +/-1.5%.
