HONDURAS: Edging toward justice for environmentalist’s killing
On 12 October Honduras’ judiciary announced that a court had ordered the start of public oral proceedings against Adán Fúnez, the former mayor of Tocoa municipality, Colón department (2010-2026), and two others over the September 2024 killing of high-profile environmentalist Juan López.
