PERU: Rightwards swing maintained in regional elections
On 5 October results from Peru’s regional and municipal elections the previous day showed the conservative Somos Perú (SP) leading in eight out of 25 gubernatorial races, in which the nationally ruling Fuerza Popular (FP) was not on track to win a single governorship.
