*Ecuador’s national statistics institute (Inec) has published the latest figures for its consumer price index (IPC), putting monthly inflation in June at 0.79%, up from 0.62% deflation in May. The annual inflation rate in June was 1.65%, up from 0.92% in May.  The categories to have had the most impact on the monthly inflation rate were housing which accounted for 0.37% of the rise, followed by transport (0.28%). According to Inec, the monthly cost of the basic basket of goods (CFB) was US$824.85 in June, up US$3.38 or 0.41% on the previous month.
