COSTA RICA: Fernández downplays blast amid push to revive mining project
On 19 June Costa Rica’s new President Laura Fernández downplayed an explosion which occurred during a visit to the site of the shuttered Las Crucitas open-pit gold mine in San Carlos canton, Alajuela province, which she is pushing to reopen.
