*Brazil’s federal oil and gas regulator (ANP) has released the latest national production figures, showing a total of 5.64m barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) in April. This is a new monthly record surpassing the previous record figure of 5.53m boepd set
in March. Brazil’s oil production in April this year totalled 4.34 barrels per day (bpd), up 2.2% compared to March and up 19.5% compared to April 2025, while natural gas production totalled 206.7m cubic metres per day (m
3/d), up 1.3% on the previous month and up 23% year-on-year. In April this year, the Búzios field in the Santos Basin was the largest oil producer, registering 910,100 bpd. The field with the highest natural gas production was Mero, also in the Santos Basin, with 46.22m m³/d. The processing unit with the highest oil production was the Almirante Tamandaré floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel in the Búzios field, with a monthly production result of 248,587 bpd, while the Marechal Duque de Caxias FPSO in the Mero field produced the most natural gas, registering 13.08 m³/d.
