BRAZIL | Mid-month inflation accelerates. The national statistics institute (Ibge) released new figures on 28 April for its mid-month inflation index (Ipca-15), showing a monthly inflation rate of 0.89% for mid-April. This marks an acceleration compared with 0.44% in mid-March. The accumulated annual inflation rate for the 12 months through mid-April stood at 4.37%, up from 3.90% in the 12 months through mid-March.
