BOLIVIA | New hydrocarbons and energy minister, YPFB chief. Bolivia’s President Rodrigo Paz swore in Marcelo Blanco as Bolivia’s new hydrocarbons and energy minister on 22 April. Blanco, who had been serving as deputy minister of electricity and renewable energy, replaces Mauricio Medinaceli, who had been in the post since November 2025, when Paz took office.
