*Honduras’ central bank (BCH) has released new figures showing that remittances to the country totalled US$1.22bn in March, up from US$939.04m in February and US$870.81m in January. This brings total remittances in the first three months of the year to US$3.03bn, up from US$2.63bn in the first three months of 2025. Honduras closed 2025
with total remittances of US$12.21bn, up from US$9.74bn
in 2024. According to a November 2025 report by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) the US accounts for around 90%
of remittances sent to Honduras.
