COSTA RICA: New poll shows frontrunner poised for first-round win
On 21 January the Centro de Investigación y Estudios Políticos (Ciep) of Costa Rica’s public Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) released a new poll showing Laura Fernández, who has cast herself as the heir to President Rodrigo Chaves (who is barred from seeking consecutive re-election), winning the 1 February election outright.
