In brief: Argentina’s economic activity down in November

*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released new figures for its economic activity index (Emae), which showed 0.3% decreases in November in both monthly and year-on-year terms. This marks the second consecutive month that the Emae showed a monthly drop in seasonally adjusted terms, following a 0.4% decrease in October. In its monthly report for November, Indec highlight that ten economic sectors posted year-on-year increases in activity while five registered decreases. The greatest year-on-year rises were seen in financial services (+13.9%) and agriculture, livestock, hunting, and forestry (+10.5%). The greatest decreases compared to November 2024 were registered in manufacturing (-8.2%) and fishing (-25.0%).
