In brief: Brazil’s vehicle sales up in 2025

*Brazil’s national federation of automobile dealers (Fenabrave) has released the annual vehicle sales for 2025, which showed a total of 5.13m units sold. This marks an 8.02% increase compared to 2024. Of all the vehicle categories, motorcycles registered the highest year-on-year rise in sales, with a total of 2.2m units sold, up 17.13%. Passenger car sales totalled 2.0m units, up 2.49%, while light commercial vehicles totalled 552,931 units, up 2.91% on the previous year. The product categories that registered yearly decreases were trucks, with 110,873 units, down 8.65%, and vehicle implements such as trailers, with 71,030 units, down 19.88%.
