In brief: Annual inflation falls in Colombia

*Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has published the latest consumer price index, putting monthly inflation in December at 0.27% – up from 0.07% in November. This brought annual inflation to 5.10% at the end of 2025, down from 5.30% in November and also down from the year-end rate of 5.20% in 2024. The categories which saw the steepest monthly price rises in December were restaurants and hotels (+7.91%), education (+7.36%), healthcare (+7.20%), and alcohol and tobacco (+6.37%).
