COSTA RICA: Anti-drugs policy prompts assassination attempts?

Five Colombian nationals were arrested in Costa Rica accused of planning to assassinate high-ranking Costa Rican officials, including Rodrigo Arias, the presidency minister and brother of President Óscar Arias. According to Costa Rica's drug tsar, Mauricio Boraschi, the ploy reflects the government's success in its anti-drug policy, which has led to the seizure of large quantities of cocaine smuggled from Colombia.
