*Argentina’s economy ministry has released its fiscal statistics for September, showing that the public sector registered a primary surplus of Ar$696.97bn (US$495.90m), down from Ar$1.56tn in August and a financial surplus of Ar$309.62bn, down from Ar$390.30bn the previous month. In year-on-year terms the primary surplus was down by 14.6% from Ar$816.45bn in September 2024, while the financial surplus was down by 33.6% from Ar$466.63bn. Net debt interest payments in September totalled Ar$387.34bn. The latest monthly primary surplus amounts to 1.3% of GDP, and the financial surplus equates to 0.4%. Total revenue came to Ar$11.63tn in September, up 29.9% year-on-year, while expenditure totalled Ar$10.94tn, up 31.8% compared to September 2024.
