In brief: Inflation rises in Colombia
*Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has published the consumer price index for September, putting monthly inflation at 0.32%. This was up from 0.19% in August and brought the annual inflation rate in September to 5.18% – up from 5.10% the previous month. The steepest monthly price rises in September were in the categories of information and communication (+1.43%), education (+1.39%), alcohol and tobacco (+1.07%), and healthcare (+0.60%). The only category which saw a monthly fall in prices was recreation and culture (-0.16%).
